Sketchbook: What am I making here?

I asked my my self, “Ok. just what am I making here?” the other day when I sat down to plan the month(s) ahead. The answer was two different sets of designs with two clay bodies and four surface treatments. So as I was considering forms I sketched. Funnily enough a few days later I sound myself drawing the form my new and exciting bowls on a napkin for a friend!

Sketchbooks are important. I carry mine about and use it often. I usually don’t like a soul look at my sketchbook- too personal, too sacred. Still, it is a huge huge part of my practice and process. And so I will hark back to the ever so wise teachings of kindergarden and share fragments that some of you might enjoy.
