Sketchbook: Moose Canoe

I am back and blogging. Canada is always in my heart- this sketch of a moose I did late one night in Columbia when I couldn’t sleep. Even in a foreign land the Canadian landscape reels me in some how. The canoeing fellow I just got in the mail and fits all to well with my Canadian muses. He is now in my sketchbook. You see sketchbooks, especially mine, aren’t just for sketches.

Sketchbook: Sketchbooks are important. I carry mine about and use it often. I usually don’t let a soul look at my sketchbook- too personal, too sacred. Still, it is a huge huge part of my practice and process. And so I will hark back to the ever so wise teachings of kindergarten and share fragments that some of you might enjoy.
